INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE
STAVROS – A Blend of Mountain and Sea
Stavros is a charming seaside settlement in Aegean Macedonia, near
Asprovalta. It combines tranquility, beautiful beaches with crystal-clear water, and
an authentic Greek atmosphere. Located 88 km from Kavala and 70 km from Thessaloniki,
it sits at the very beginning of the Chalkidiki peninsula, in its northeastern part.
Administratively, it belongs to the Thessaloniki region. Stavros is built on a
hill overlooking the Strymonikos Gulf. The settlement features numerous parks,
restaurants, tavernas, shops, and cafés. The beach stretches for 10 km—a beautiful
coastal strip with calm, shallow waters.
PARTICIPANTS
The folklore festival is open to amateur performance groups. The festival is open to
folk dance, vocal, and instrumental ensembles,
groups performing both stylized and authentic folklore, *Kukeri* (ritual mask) groups,
and groups representing ethnic folklore. There are no age restrictions. Each group’s
performance program should be 10–12 minutes long.
The festival is non-competitive.
THE FESTIVAL PROGRAM includes:
- Friday, June 4 – Arrival and hotel check-in for the groups
- Saturday, June 5 – Festival concert on an outdoor stage in the center of Stavros, starting at 8:30 PM
- Sunday, June 6 – Free time for excursions and the beach
- Certificates and plaques for participating groups
- On-site support team available 24/7
- June 8 – Departure
PARTICIPATION FEE
Package price per person:
Price for 3 nights with breakfast and dinner:
187 EUR per person – accommodation in a triple / quadruple room with breakfast and dinner
217 EUR per person – accommodation in a double room with breakfast and dinner
Price for 4 nights with breakfast and dinner:
235 EUR per person – accommodation in a triple / quadruple room with breakfast and dinner
275 EUR per person – accommodation in a double room with breakfast and dinner
!!! The price does NOT include the mandatory city tax for hotels in Greece.
City tax: 5 EUR per room, per night. Payable separately.
Accommodation in a single room – price upon request.
The price does not include transport to Stavros or personal expenses.
Parking – free of charge.
For a group of 25 people, one free spot in a double room (25 + 1) is provided.
REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT DEADLINES
Applicants wishing to participate in the festival must confirm their participation
by completing the registration application form by February 28, 2027.
Deadline for the advance payment of 30% of the total amount: March 10, 2027.
Final deadline for the remaining balance payment: April 30, 2027.
