About us
The Association "Communities, Traditions, Culture" was registered in 2020 and is the successor to the activities of the Association "Communities, Getting to Know, Culture" registered in 2005. The Chairman of the Association is Galina Panayotova from the city of Varna. The Association "Communities, Traditions, Culture" is a non-profit legal entity, carrying out activities for private benefit and aims to work in the field of culture, informal education and tourism - festival and cultural, through the organization of cultural events of various nature.
Organized events and project work:
2006 – 2011 – Work on projects with mass schools and social institutions. Funding from the Directorate of Youth Activities and Sports and the Directorate of Social Activities of Varna Municipality.
2009 – 2016 – “Festival of Pots” in the village of Zimnitsa, Krushari Municipality, Dobrich Region – a culinary event funded by local sponsors and implemented with the support of the Krushari Municipality. After 2016, the festival is organized and held by the Krushari Municipality.
2012 – 2014 – “With the Spirit of the Past” – children's drawing competition in Dobrich and Silistra. Partners: Regional History Museum – Dobrich, Art Gallery – Dobrich and Regional Library, Silistra
2013 – 2016 - "Dobrudja Wine Festival" - financed by Varna Mall
2014 – Project “Amid the Nature of Dobrudzha” – children's exploration expeditions in the nature of Dobrudzha. Partners: RIM – Dobrich and local schools.
2015 – May / September - "Traditions and Authenticity from the Northeast" – weekly summer holidays in Varna Mall, presenting the folk traditions of the local population of Northeastern Bulgaria – 19 editions. Funding Varna Mall.
2015 – “Fertility Festival” – financed by Varna Mall
2015 – "Feast of Bread" – financed by Varna Mall
2016 – "Mosaic of Ethnicities" – funded by Varna Mall
2016 – "Fertility Festival and Abundance Market" - Burgas
2016 – 2025 – “Ethno Rhythms” – international folklore dance and music festival. Held in the Golden Sands resort, Varna Municipality
2019 – 2025 – “Colors and Rhythms” – international folklore festival in Tulcea, Romania. Partner: Tulcea Municipality.
2019 – 2025 – Balkan Folklore Festival for Balkan Music and Dance in the city of Edirne, Turkey. Partner Edirne Municipality.
2023 – 2025 – “Balkan widens around the Timoka region” – international folklore festival in the town of Zajčar, Serbia. Partner Municipality of Zajčar, Serbia.
