INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE
The Balkan Folklore Festival is being held in the city of Edirne for the sixth time.
The city of Edirne /Edirne/ is located in the European part of the Republic of Turkey and is the administrative center of the province of the same name. It is located 50 km from the Lesovo border crossing. A historical city, Edirne is extremely impressive with its authentic atmosphere and architectural landmarks. Many of the cultural and historical sites are related to Bulgarian history. It was the capital of the Ottoman Empire before Istanbul. It is called the city of the sultans.
PARTICIPANTS
Participants in the Balkan Folklore Festival are amateur groups from Turkey, Bulgaria and other Balkan countries. Dance, singing and instrumental folklore ensembles, groups for processed and authentic folklore, puppetry groups can participate in the festival. There are no age restrictions. The group's folklore program must be 10 minutes long. Each group has one performance on stage.
OBJECTIVES OF THE FESTIVAL
- to develop cultural exchange between the Balkan countries; to encourage the creative abilities of the individual; to present the folklore and cultural traditions of the Balkan peoples; to popularize Balkan folklore.
PARTICIPATION FEE
Package price per person:
-accommodation in 2*/ 3* hotels in the city of Edirne:
90 euros per person - includes 2 nights in a 2*/ 3* hotel with breakfast and accommodation in a double/triple room
130 euros per person - includes 3 nights in a 2*/3* hotel with breakfast and accommodation in a double/triple room
A single room costs 25 euros per person per day.
Accommodation in a double room is subject to availability.
We offer accommodation in 4* and 5* hotels. Price upon request.
The package price does not include transportation to the city of Edirne, parking and personal expenses.
A group of 25 people is entitled to one free place in a double room (25 + 1).
Note: The distribution of groups in the central hotels of the city is carried out in the order of group registration.
THE PROGRAM of the Balkan Folklore Festival offers:
- June 12, Friday – opening of the festival, a concert on an open stage in the center of the city of Edirne.
- June 13, Saturday - festival concerts on an open stage in the center of the city of Edirne.

SIGHTS of Edirne: The Ancient Fortress of Adrianople, the Mosque of Sultan Selim II, the Historical and Ethnographic Museum, the Museum of Turkish and Muslim Art, the Monument of Architect Sinan, the Museum of the Balkan War, the old bridges over the rivers and Maritsa, the Tudrin Medieval Tower, the City Museum of Edirne, the Old Karaagach Station, the Lausanne Monument, the Bulgarian Church "St. George", the Orthodox Church "St. St. Constantine and Elena", the school of Dr. Petar Beron, the Complex of Sultan Bayezid II and the Museum of Medicine, covered bazaars - bezisten, etc. In Bulgaria, Edirne is also known as the "city of shopping tours".

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
A valid ID card or a valid international passport for persons over 18 years of age.
REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT DEADLINES
Candidates who wish to participate in the festival must apply for participation by completing the Registration Application Form by March 31, 2026.
Deadline for advance payment 20% of the total amount April 15, 2026
Deadline for payment of the full amount May 10, 2026
